Product description
These pliers strip insulation from optical fiber in preparation for splicing or connectorization. Three holes cover the different protective layers of the fiber.
One hole strips the 250 µm primary coating to expose the bare 125 µm glass fiber; the 140 µm opening with a V-notch blade is designed specifically for this layer. Another hole strips fiber jacket from 2 to 3 mm. The holes are factory-calibrated with no adjustment needed, and the blades are manufactured to tight tolerances to avoid scratching or nicking the glass. The handles are ergonomic with a comfortable grip, and a locking mechanism keeps the pliers closed when not in use.
