Product description

The Tumtec FST-83A is a core-alignment fusion splicer with four motors, designed for optical fiber splicing. Core alignment produces more precise joints than cladding alignment, with average splice loss as low as 0.01 to 0.03 dB for single-mode fiber. The unit splices all common fiber types: SM, MM, DS, NZ-DS (G655), EDF and bend-insensitive fibers (G657). It features a 5-inch high-resolution color LCD with 500x magnification, a 5200 mAh battery providing up to 250 splice-and-heat cycles, measures 142 × 160 × 140 mm and weighs 1.9 kg.
