Optical Power Meter FHP2P01

The Grandway FHP2P01 is a handheld optical power meter designed for PON networks. Unlike a standard power meter, the FHP2P01 simultaneously measures multiple wavelengths and separates upstream and downstream traffic, connecting in-line without interrupting service to the end user. The device detects the 1310 nm upstream signal, which arrives from the ONU in short bursts, and the 1490 and 1550 nm downstream signals from the OLT and RF CATV transmission. It supports GPON, EPON and RF CATV networks. Two optical ports separate the ONU side from the OLT and video side, and the meter handles both continuous and burst signals at 1310 nm. The InGaAs sensor delivers accuracy of 0.5 dB or better and display resolution of 0.01 dB. Ten user-configurable thresholds classify readings as pass, warning or fail, so the technician immediately sees whether signal levels are within acceptable limits. The unit stores 900 result groups, charges and transfers data via USB Type-C, and optionally supports Bluetooth. It runs on two Ni-MH AA batteries rated at 2500 mAh and measures 160 x 76 x 45 mm at 400 g.
